Ethan’s extensive tattoos have drawn considerable attention, given his full-body coverage. In total, he spent approximately $60,000 AUD (around $39,000 USD) to achieve his distinctive look.
Despite his bold choices, Ethan now experiences feelings of guilt.
“I suppose you could say I regret some tattoos,” he shared in an interview for LadBibleTV’s No Filter series. “But it’s not just regret—I think there’s a difference between wanting to be perceived differently and regretting something.”
For the past year, Ethan has been undergoing tattoo removal, carefully following the process.
“I’ve been getting laser treatments for about twelve months. It’s done in sections, but I’ve likely treated most areas six or seven times,” he explained.
His motivation stems from struggles with anxiety, a mental burden that he believes was intensified by his heavily tattooed face.
“Mental health is tricky to define, but I like to think a lot of my anxiety was due to having a face covered in tattoos,” he admitted.
Although Ethan is still content with his appearance, he sees the removal of his facial tattoos as a symbolic “clearing of the canvas” and looks forward to their gradual fading over the next two years.
